Jelly Bean Jar Sex

Alan returns to his comedy roots (years of stand-up, writer and script editor on sketch comedy series ‘Pio!’, creator of dramedy TV series ‘The Strip’) for his first feature-length relationship comedy.

Eschewing the more common boy meets girl/boy loses girl/boy wins girl back narrative ‘Jelly Bean Jar Sex’ tells the story of a married man who struggles to stay committed in the long term. Their domestic situation is contrasted by the wild, swinging lifestyle of the hero’s younger brother. The third brother’s future hangs in the balance as he debates which relationship model he should emulate.

‘Jelly Bean Jar Sex’ takes a raunchy romp through modern relationships. However, it is also tender, heartfelt and authentic – touching on the issues of long term relationships frequently overlooked in Hollywood rom-coms. (i.e: what happens after “Boy gets girl”…)

Script available mid-2009.
